(San Diego, Calif.), Aug. 8, 2006 – Vistage International, the world’s leading chief executive organization, has topped the 13,000 member milestone.  Spanning 15 countries, Vistage-member companies now generate nearly $300 billion in annual revenue and employ more than 2.1 million people in industries ranging from service, manufacturing and construction to retail trade, transportation and communications.

Vistage was started by a Wisconsin businessman in 1957 as a way for executives to share business knowledge and experience.  Members, including CEOs and key executives from small and medium-sized businesses, meet monthly in small groups to resolve issues including managing change, exercising leadership, growth strategies, technology and globalization, as well as work/life balance, communications and personal planning.  Vistage also provides one-to-one coaching, expert speaker resources, and proprietary content and regional conferences for its global network of members.

“Our ongoing growth demonstrates the unique value of the Vistage experience to CEOs and key executives who want to become better leaders, achieving better results,” said Rafael Pastor, Vistage CEO and Chairman of the Board.  “Vistage provides its members with an array of powerful resources that helps them have a broader perspective and make better decisions on their toughest issues.”

As a prelude to the company’s 50th anniversary in 2007, Vistage is holding a first-time series of member conferences.  The first in Irvine, Calif. in late July drew nearly 500 CEOs and top executives.  Additional conferences are scheduled for Chicago on September 25 and New York on September 28.  The conferences provide a practical and provocative forum for CEOs and executives to learn and exchange information about a myriad of business issues and opportunities.

In first week of September, Vistage will release its third quarter CEO Confidence Index.  Now in its third year, the Index provides one of the most comprehensive measures of economic trends generated from the responses of more than 2,000 CEOs around the nation.  The Index measures CEO confidence on key business indicators such as job growth, capital investment and energy costs.
