Get Podcasts Delivered the Easy Way

Are you looking for a way to listen to Vistage podcasts at the office, in the car, or at the airport? We have the technology! It’s easier than you think to get Vistage Podcasts delivered to your computer or MP3 player. Here are three of the easiest ways:

1) Get podcasts delivered directly to your iPod or iTunes
First you will need to have both and iPod and iTunes software (download iTunes here) installed on your computer. Once these two components are in place, follow these steps:

  1. Launch iTunes.
  2. In the left column of iTunes, click on iTunes Store. (Note: even though you are going to the “store” all podcasts are free of charge.)


  1. In the box labeled "iTunes STORE," click on "Podcasts."
  2. Enter the search term “Vistage Podcast” in the Search iTunes Store box.
  3. When the Vistage podcast appears, click Subscribe.
  4. iTunes will begin to download the latest episode of the Vistage podcast.
  5. Click the triangle next to the name of the podcast to see all the episodes.
  6. The most recent episode with be at the top of the page, with older episodes beneath it.
  7. Click the “get” button next to any of the older episodes to play them.
  8. Transfer the episodes you want to your iPod and take it to go.

2) Add the Vistage podcast to your RSS reader.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's a way to collect content from numerous Web sites into one place online. With RSS you can subscribe to specific content from any website that displays the RSS icon . The content you subscribe to automatically gets delivered to your RSS Reader. What’s an RSS reader? It’s simply a webpage where you can access the content that you have subscribed to.

RSS Reader
To add Vistage podcasts to your RSS reader:

1) Make sure you have an RSS reader. If you don’t have, try google.com/reader.
2) Once you have subscribed to an RSS reader, put this url in your web browser: http://view.vistage.com/media/podcasts/feed.xml.
3) Your reader will appear and ask you if you want to subscribe to the podcast.
4) Click the “yes” or “add” button to add the feed.
5) You will automatically get our latest additions along with our backlog of content.

3) Add the Vistage podcast to your customized Google or Yahoo homepage
Google and Yahoo allow you to customize their websites so that they display just the content you want—the weather for your city, your stocks prices, and the latest Vistage podcasts, for example. To set up a customized homepage, visit www.igoogle.com or www.my.yahoo.com and sign up for the free customized page. Once you have signed up and created your page, follow these instructions.

iGoogle homepage
To add the podcast to your iGoogle homepage follow these steps:

  1. Go to http://www.google.com/ig.
  2. Click on “Add stuff” in the upper right hand corner of the page.
  3. Click on “Add feed or gadget” in the lower left hand part of the page.
  4. A box will appear, enter this address: http://view.vistage.com/media/podcasts/feed.xml into the feed box and click “Add.”
  5. You will see the latest podcasts on your customized page.

my.yahoo homepage
To add the podcast to your Yahoo homepage, follow these steps:

  1. Go to my.yahoo.com.
  2. Click on “Personalize this page” in the upper part of the page, just below the main search bar.
  3. Enter this address: http://view.vistage.com/media/podcasts/feed.xml into the feed address box.
  4. You will see the latest podcasts on your customized page.
